The Vandoren 7JB Mouthpiece has the widest tip opening in the entire range from Vandoren. Tip opening: 170 (1/100ths mm), Facing: Long, Characteristics: Mouthpiece for jazz and traditional music.
Powerful and flexible sound. Perfect for solo or ensemble playing. This mouthpiece works especially well for Jazz and Klezmer, as well as other genres and is good for doublers playing the saxophone due to the wide tip opening. It is free blowing across the entire range of the clarinet.
The Vandoren Standard Bb Clarinet mouthpiece is an industry standard for students and professionals alike. The 'Standard' mouthpiece is pitched at A=442hz which is great for:
- Students making their first upgrade from a plastic mouthpiece who need a little help getting up to pitch.
- Players aiming to play at A=442hz. In the UK, it is typical to play at A=440hz. This does not mean that the Standard Vandoren Mouthpiece won't useful when compensating for a longer barrel length.
- European players.
